Information is King

“The value of information about goods and services eclipses the value of the goods and services themselves.” - Watts Wacker

Simply put, we can surely all agree that knowledge is power – and this is exactly what private investigators want to offer attorneys. We work in the information business and any PI worth their salt will work tirelessly to ensure that they provide you with all the information and details you need to help with your case.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

All kidding aside, here are just a few ways private investigators can assist attorneys:

  • We begin with the narrative provided to us and work from there; confirm or deny it and when we can, delve as deeply as possible into the subject. We want the whole truth and like a dog with a bone, we won’t stop till we get it. Private investigators provide actionable intelligence to help against a legal adversary. We will give you the full 360 view of a subject, from any adverse filings in their name to their address history, professional history, and social media footprint.

  • Closing a business deal? We provide verifiable information that puts you in a better position to negotiate an agreement – and determining if it’s even worth arriving to an agreement. Doing your due diligence is underrated but worth its weight in gold. You’ll never regret having the full picture before jumping into business with someone, rather than after. But hey, if it should happen that you’re in need of some information on your new business partner who has gone rogue, we’re there for you too. We’ll find everything we can that will help your case; criminal records, litigation history, to name a couple; we’re on it.

  • Finding assets – be it to satisfy a judgment against a company or an individual; or verifying financial statements during a divorce, PIs can help give you a better picture to support your case.

  • Locating witnesses – Finding someone is a unique challenge, one that I particularly enjoy.  In the same vein, locating heirs for probate and inheritance matters is a great and rewarding challenge.

  • Interviews are another method to foster information for a case or to obtain a truthful account of events; private investigators can obtain the information that will lead you closer to solutions. In fact, even with uncooperative interviewees, we may glean information unwittingly that could help your case.

It takes a village they say and behind any accomplished private investigator you will find a creative thinker on the lookout for out of the box solutions.
